MAPLETON ?Alice C. Sawyer, 82, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, after a long <a href=https://www.cups-stanley.ca>stanley canada</a> illness. She was born Feb. 8, 1928, in Yarmouth, the daughter of Frank and Minnie Vincent MacNeill. Alice was a 1946 graduate of North Yarmouth Academy. She was employed with The New England Fire Insurance Rating Association of Portland before mo <a href=https://www.cup-stanley.es>stanley taza</a> ving to Mapleton in the late fall of 1947 to marry her sweetheart. At the time of her death she was a member of State Street Baptist Church, Presque Isle. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to sing praises to her Lord and Savior, and play the piano at church and at home. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting when she was younger and crocheted many lap robes for the nursing homes and hospital chaplaincy, as well as many afghans for her family. She is survived by her husband of almost 63 years, Winfield Sawyer of Mapleton. She is survived by her son, Larry and his wife, Debbie, of Mapleton, and their two children, Jennifer Sawyer Buzza and her husband, Aaron, and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Kay, and Julie Sawyer Powers and her husband, Zachary.
